This photograph, transformed into a Nike poster, marked the first public glimpse of Jordan sporting the Air Jordan 1 sneakers. Interestingly, the Royals held a special place in Jordans heart, serving as his preferred colorway and being selected as the inaugural Air Jordan 1 model available for purchase. While the Banned and Chicago colorways graced the courts during his career, the Royals remained exclusively off-court shoes. Since their original release in 1985, the Royals have made subsequent returns in 2001, 2013, and 2017, captivating fans with their timeless appeal.
